Title: Eclipse // Artist: Jenny Brown

about the piece

Materials used: Pen, ink, acrylic, & pencil on paper.

Eclipse is a drawing on paper, imagined with pen, ink, acrylic paint, and pencil. It was created on Monday, April 8th, 2024, the day of the
total eclipse in the United States. I sat in Prospect Terrace Park in Providence, RI for the event, along with much of the city. This drawing is an abstraction of the light filtering through the rustling leaves, and the shadows cast on the sidewalk during that 4 minute period.
