| In this piece, the artist sought to utilize a limited and randomized color palette by picking a few custom colors premixed from former artistic projects. These premixed acrylic paints were then paired with the use of a ballpoint pen to help clarify some detail and add a sense of grit. This painting is based in a sense of nostalgia for the artist, representing a personal breakdown of their relationship with home while also making a broader statement about our ideological degradation as a society. |
about the artist // Lo Coleman
| Lo Coleman (they/them) is originally from Charleston, South Carolina, but has spent the last 10 years falling in love with Colorado. They are an interdisciplinary artist with a BA in Film and Media Studies and a minor in Studio Art from Colorado College. Lo loves creation in all formats, and actively takes on projects as an interior designer, set dresser for films, graphic designer, painter, and crochet artist. |
