Title: Fly, Shaparak, Fly
Artists: Bahar Es’haghi & Narges Goleij
about the piece
| Fly Shaparak, Fly is a comic about moths that have been set free. Children, like moths, are delicate and vulnerable, and they should never have to grow up in a brutal world, let alone have their lives, dreams, and hopes taken away from them. Through this work, we wanted to speak about the cruelty, horror, and inhumanity of war, and the devastating ways in which it destroys childhood, takes away innocent lives, and leaves behind a grief that cannot simply be undone. |
