Title: The Sea Within // Artist: Idil Ural
about the piece
| The Sea Within is about the idea that what we see on the surface is never the whole picture. There is always something else beneath it. Another layer, another form, another meaning that is not immediately visible. The drawing came from the idea of looking deeper and finding something beyond what first appears. |
about the artist // Idil Ural

| Idil Ural is a Berlin-based artist working primarily with graphite and charcoal. Her surreal drawings bring human figures and natural forms together, often blurring the line between the two. Inspired by nature, dreams and symbolism, her work explores strange, quiet worlds where trees, water, other natural elements and bodies seem to belong to the same landscape. |
