| Color is a powerful force, a language of its own. Kate explores color and textures and how they create meaning and emotion. Neurodivergent, she works in bursts, gets obsessed with subjects or materials, and makes a bunch of art until that spark fades. Lately, it’s watercolor – fascinating in its unpredictability, movement, and beauty of translucent layers. Her most recent series is inspired by wild colors and unique beauty of the Santa Monica Mountains and its neighboring Pacific Ocean. |
