about the pieces
| I work primarily in digital media, but in the past I have created works in watercolor, oil and acrylic. My “studio” is an iPad with a stylus and I use an app called Procreate for iOS. “Red Fox” began several years ago as an exercise in rendering the illusion of depth of field with ray-tracing of light, as I was getting started with digitally-made work. The fox in the midground is there to provide a color contrast and could represent the spirit of nature. “The Shore of Eternity” has a theme of impermanence and reflects my fascination with black holes and the nature of gravity. |
