Editor’s Note
Lovely Readers,
Welcome back — or perhaps this is our first time meeting (in which case, welcome.)
I hope you are hanging in there, despite the horrors, and I also hope that you are finding moments of rest, joy, and peace where/when you’re able.
This is our seventh quarterly issue, and our eighth issue overall. As we approach wildscape‘s second birthday, I look back at all we have created together. Eight issues, more than 16,000 submissions, and a lot of rage, joy, grief, and love.
As you spend time with this issue, I welcome you to allow all of those aforementioned emotions to make their way to the surface. Rage, joy, grief, and love are what will carry us through these dark times. I believe that together, if we fight, we can continue to push forward. Art is inherently political, and it has served as a compass for me in finding comraderie among all of you.
Thank you for being a part of this. I’m so glad you’re here.
With love,
Ophelia M.
