Ophelia Monet // EIC + Founder

wildscape. literary journal was started in 2024 by Ophelia Monet (she/her),
a 2025 and 2026 Best of the Net nominated poet who started writing after learning that
her late mother was a published poet under a pen name. The first name of her
mother’s pen name was “Ophelia”, hence the choice of Ophelia’s pen name
(though Monet is not a pseudonym). Ophelia is a special education teacher,
storm chaser & certified weather spotter, and mother. She lives in the suburbs of
Cincinnati with her husband and their three-year-old son. She has poetry published
or forthcoming in HOBART, Door Is A Jar Literary Magazine, Moss Puppy, Free Verse Revolution,
Ink & Marrow Lit, Loud Coffee Press, tiny wren lit, Heimat Review, The Orchards
Poetry Journal, The Inflectionist Review, and more. You can connect with her on
Instagram at @opheliamonetwrites, or via email at mysoullaidbare@gmail.com. You can
check out some of her publications here.
