Title: Morning Glory // Artist: Larena Nellies-Ortiz

about the piece

I’ve always been a morning person. There’s something I find magical about the stillness, peace, and sense of possibility that comes with the early hours–before the day’s duties loom too loudly.

This photo of a simple mustard flower, bathed in golden dawn, captures that fleeting moment of morning wonder. It’s a reminder that beauty and delight can always be found if I am willing to literally and figuratively “wake up”—sometimes right in my own backyard.
