I wanted to create something magical, inspired by the fairy tale about the girl and the bears and the legend of the nymph fleeing from the amorous Apollo. The girl defied her circumstances and became a tree, or, according to one legend, a cypress. I guess I can relate to this legend in some way. And also, like her, I didn’t want to be a slave to circumstances.
