Medium: Kaweco Black Ink on Tomoe River Paper My name is K. Garcia and I’m a Los Angeles based artist specializing in contemporary pointillism and abstract stippling. My artwork is a result of a 3 year journey with meditative walking, inspired by Henry David Thoreau’s own journey with walking around Cape Cod in search of self-discovery. In my journey, I’ve processed a lot of emotions tied to personal loss and grief. I use traditional methods like ink and paper and digital mediums to capture these emotional landscapes and try as best as I can to put into paper what I cannot put into words: that all of us on our journey through life, every thought, movement and feeling, are part of a delicate and intricate plan woven in nature. We all have our place in the world, even if it is to just feel time dripping through a window when the sun sets.
